Great Mountains International Music Festival

The Great Mountains International Music Festival & School (GMMFS) is an exceptional classical music experience presented by the government of South Korea’s Gangwon Province. This annual Festival showcases over 45 musical performances in the span of three weeks featuring some of today’s most celebrated artists, while its School provides two weeks of intensive training for the next generation of classical musicians.

The Festival takes place in the city of PyeongChang. The region is renowned for its beautiful terrain which serves as the perfect setting to bring together an impressive array of internationally recognized artist-faculties. The Sejong administration is the operating body of the GMMFS, providing management and arts administration. Sejong string orchestra joins this world-class festival as host ensemble.
